Much to her surprise, that very first market was a roaring success. People loved her food, her energy and her commitment to doing things properly. Over the next four years, Abby poured herself into growing her little venture — expanding her menu, building a loyal customer base and becoming a familiar favourite in the community
In 2019, she took the next big step. Abby purchased a property in her hometown of Cobar with one goal in mind: to renovate it into the café she had imagined since she was young. It became a labour of love, a space shaped by her roots, her creativity and her belief in what good food can do for a town.
In June 2025, Abby’s Café officially opened its doors.
What began as a market stall funded by a grocery budget has become a welcoming local hub, a place where Cobar gathers for great coffee, good food and the warmth of a dream finally realised.
